This wall artwork shows a plane flying in the middle of a city, where the street is used as the landing zone. The letters of “The City” are curved and bolded, and they have grey shadows to stand out from the background and go along with the overall tone of the image. The purpose of this work was to show the public that living in a city can be overwhelming (represented by the fact that the airplane is landing in the city), and that the city is constantly moving (represented by the people walking on the streets, very close to the airplane). I also illustrated dark clouds and buildings to portray a stormy feeling and urban aesthetics, and create interest and overwhelm in the viewer.
